Purely’s Green Initiative

Wednesday, February 27th, 2019

WE ARE GOING PURELY GREEN! THIS MONTH WE HAVE SENT OUT WONDERFUL GIFTS OF JOY, AND WHAT BETTER WAY TO RECEIVE A GIFT THAN WITH A BIODEGRADABLE PACKAGE.

As a well-established print company, we use a substantial amount of paper per year to create our bespoke prints. Although, with the current ecological changes, we thought it was time to take on our own green initiative.

We all play a key role towards our environment, but playing the right part is crucial. Even the littlest of changes can make a huge impact, whether you start cycling to work instead of driving or if you choose to recycle more, it all adds up.

We take our environmental responsibilities very seriously, which is why we’ve put the planet first. During Valentine’s, we sent out Valentine’s cards and pillow packs filled with heart sweets to our clients.

Becoming Purely Green – The first biodegradable plastic to appear on the market was in the 1980s

When it came to making the pillow packs, we wanted to make sure they would be eco-friendly. In order to do this, we printed our pillow packs from 250gsm Symbol Freelife Satin stock. We guaranteed our pillow packs are completely biodegradable and recyclable. We always aim to avoid plastic packaging where possible to minimise plastic pollution.

There are many ways to make a difference to our environment, for example, we’ve changed our energy provider to a green energy provider called Bulb and we participate in the Woodland Trust’s carbon capture scheme. If you would like to learn more about why Purely Digital is going green, and what changes we are doing to make a difference then visit our page, Purely Green, to get the full coverage.

Here at Purely Digital, all of our products are printed and finished in-house to guarantee they are finished at the highest quality standards. To make certain our prints are up to standard we ensure they are printed on FSC paper, as well as being 100% ECF Virgin Fibre.
